Blooming Glass Block

As you all know, I LOVE my glass block.  I have decorated it with stickers, various fillers and ribbon since Christmas.  For Spring, I really had no ideas -- and no budget for the craft store.

It just looked so lonely and empty.

I went shopping in my craft supplies and found these glass beads.  I had three yellow and three green.

I just layered them in and they filled it right up.  There, it doesn't look so lonely any more.

I also found some yellow flowers and a stick pick (say that three times fast - he he).

Well what do you think?

I usually get up at least once every night and I like to see it all lit up.  Are you getting the feeling I like night lights (check out my mason jar night light)?  I might as well come clean -- I am a little afraid of the dark - YIKES.

Anyway, I think I like it.  Although, I am a little on the fence right now.  I guess I will leave it for now and change it for the next holiday.

I hope you have a blooming great week.

Southwest Tater Tot Casserole and This Week's Chicken Feed

So, when you fall off the horse (not blogging, cooking or crafting), you get right back on -- with, SW Tater Tot Casserole - ha ha.

This is my secret weapon.  Leftover taco meat.  It is not often that I make ground meat tacos, but, when I do, I make enough for tater tot casserole later in the week.  I don't use one of those packets though.  I just add a little garlic powder, salt and chili powder to taste.  For a little kick, add some red pepper flakes.

It is really simple and good.  You need, taco meat, a can of green chili's, a large can of cream of mushroom soup, tater tots, and I like Colby jack cheese.

Mix all together in a large bowl.  I just put a large handful of cheese in the mixture and mix it up good.

Put it in a greased casserole dish and top with more cheese.

Cover with foil and bake in a 350 oven for about an hour.  Check the center because it takes a little time to bake through all those frozen tater tots.

I forgot to take a picture of my Mandarin Orange salad -- sorry.  Any salad would do.

Enjoy.

Hair Bow

Hi Everyone, I have missed you.  It just seems like every time I am on a roll, life gets in the way.  I have had a lot of life get in the way right now.  Thank you for always being here when I come back.  Last weekend, Jean had another softball tournament.  She loves the bows my older daughter, Lee, wears for cheer.  I had some ribbon and some sequined ribbon.  This is what I came up combining the two.

Lee's bow on top of her head.

Wide orange, blue sparkle, and silver sequined  ribbon.

Hot glued the blue sparkle ribbon on to the orange.

I wrapped the sequined ribbon around the middle knot and glued.

Using a felt circle, secured a hair clip.

There it is.  She can take it off when she puts her catching gear on and when she bats.

She liked it, and so do I.

Rhonda.
