Doing for childcare for 23 years, it is hard coming up with things the kids can make. I think they really hit it out of the park this year. They started by putting hand prints on the outside of the pot. We were shooting for a butterfly, but, we did get a few spiders in there - lol.
Then we made little fairies. a birdbath, and I love their little stone paths.
The fairies were made with a clothes pin, doll head (or dowel cap), yarn, a small wooden star, a toothpick and a piece of yellow felt.
I love the faces of the fairies. This one in suppose to be Harlequin from Batman.
Just wrap the top of the clothes pin with yarn for a top. Then a pom pom for the skirt.
The birdbath was made from a miniature pot inverted and the saucer on top. I ran out of the pots and used a cork for the picture. They painted them and added jewels to decorate the saucer. They were so pretty. After everything was painted, I sprayed clear spray paint over everything to seal it - I didn't want anything to bleed.
I loved them ALL. I just wish one was made for me! I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day.
Happy Crafting.
