Happy Thursday!  I think Thursday is a great day to start blogging again.  I know I have been a human yo yo, but, I have had many obstacles in my family life this past year.  I know I have shared a little with you, but, my blog hasn't been very personable.  I hope I can let you in a little and get to know you on more of a personal level.  I am always 110% going into things, and, I tend to fizzle out after a while.  That has always been a struggle for me.  So, I am going to try to get CONSISTENT this year.  Wow, did I wait until June to make a New Year's resolution???

I am ready to begin.  As you can see by my picture, I have everything I need to start this.  First fun fact about me, I LOVE coffee.  Any kind of coffee -- raw sugar and fat free half and half is my favorite, but, I will drink it black, cold, old, strong, weak, frappuccino's, cappuccino's, lattes, macchiotto's, mocha's, frothed, shot, in, over and through ice cream.  I LOVE coffee.  I don't understand energy drinks when there is coffee, unless it is a coffee Monster.  Those will do in a pinch - ha ha.

I found this awesome sign on clearance at Target.  It is totally me.

So, let's begin.  I would love any advice from you regarding regular posting and how you keep on track.  I look forward to you getting to know me, and most of all, Me getting to know You.

Be back soon!!!
xoxo

A Target Dollar Spot Hanging Shower Storage Thingy

I am just checking in today to let you know that I am working as little much as I can in my kitchen cupboards this week, and, I hope you all are having a productive week too.  I am, not as fast as I would like, but, productive none the less.  I was at Target over the weekend and came accross a few dollar spot items that just made me smile.  Here is one:

This little ditty is a Hanging Shower Storage thingy.  I looked at it, picked it up, put it back, and finally put it in my basket.  I was going to put it in my kids shower when I had a great idea.  Now, I have purchased a couple of items, in the past, just like this and had no idea what to do with it.  I would take it out of the packaging, look at it, scratch my head, hold it up in various places, and then give it to my organized friend or sister.  I was determined not to do it this time.  So, I tried my beverage station.  On the inside cupboard door, it fit perfectly, and, I just straightened that cupboard out a little and had a basket of odds & ends I didn't know what to do with.  Guess what?  It fit...  So, I grabbed hooks from the Dollar Tree, and hung that baby fast before I chickened out.

Well, what do you think?  It fits perfect right?  You don't know what a break-through this is for me.

I filled it with fun stuff like coffee stirrers (I never use them, because, I forget I have them), tea, my favorite sugar in the raw,

and below my sugar, my little coffee via packets, and coffee scoops.

I emptied one entire basket, and now, I won't forget I have this good stuff.  My husband is excited because he knows where his large coffee scoop is.  He likes his coffee really strong (has been trying to grow hair on his chest for a long time - hee hee).

Please stay tuned, because, I have been working on a little Valentine craft that I can hardly wait to show you.  I should have it ready by Friday or Saturday.

Happy Organizing!!

Coffee To Go

I hate to waste, and I had some of the paper left that I used for my french fry "coffee" box.  I always carry those instant coffee packs (in a zip top plastic bag) from Starbucks in my purse, because I have been places that don't serve coffee when I really need a cup (usually at softball/football games).

Don't you think this is much cuter than a snack bag?  ; )

I found these cute little boxes at Michael's for $1.00.

I traced around the box.

Made a slit and hole for the button on the front.

Punched holes for the elastic.

Mod Podged it, and held it all together with my awesome Dollar Store plastic clothes pins.  I love these things.  I use them for EVERYTHING.  From chip bags to holding my plastic tablecloth on my outside table.      Sorry, I got off on a tangent, I'm back now, and, on to the project.

It dried and came out pretty good.

While it was drying, I put a little glue on the end of the elastic to make it easier to get back through those little holes.

Of course, it has burlap (I love burlap), flowers and coffee beans.

I have enough coffee, cream, and sugar for three cups of coffee in there.  I did forget to picture my little green coffee stopper from Starbucks.  I keep one with me all the time.  I can use it to stir or if they forget to give me one, I have one for the ready -- no spills.

It kind of matches my travel cup (I take it everywhere) -- YEAH.

Happy Coffee Drinking!!

Nothing says thank you like French Fries

Happy Friday everybody.  Wow, another week gone -- school will be out before we know it - YIKES!  My neighbor is the sweetest lady I know.  She knows I do childcare and knows that I can't leave me house during the day until at least 5:00 p.m.  She prays for me everyday and brings me coffee on Friday's.  I truly love her and wanted to give her a special thank you.  Using what I had on hand, here is what I came up with.

I used to make these all time (when my kids were little).  You can use any theme and make it special with a treat or gift card.

I couldn't find my template, so I just went to here and got another one.

Trace onto card stock and cut out.  The most important thing to do is score where the solid lines are on the template.

Fold and glue.  I was going to use a solid card stock with a coffee ring, but, I decided on a patterned paper.

This is what I filled my sandwich bag with.  I had coffee candies from The Dollar Store and a couple of instant coffee packets.

These are actually good in a pinch.

I used a scrap of burlap, ribbon, and a paper flower.  I used a coffee bean for the center of the flower.

I used the coffee stained paper for the Thanks.

Tied it up with raffia and there you go.

I bought this stamp at Michael's about three years ago knowing that I was going to do this.

Peach flavored rings - yum (yes, I always have Peachy O's on hand).   I used netting to tie it all up with a piece of curling ribbon.

I love this paper.

Now, who will get my peachy one.

Have a peachy weekend.
