DIY Vintage Cake Stand

Happy Friday Everybody.  I hope you all are having a great day and have a great weekend planned.  My week was a little harry carry with a full moon and all.  I don't care what anybody says, it affects small children's behavior, and it has been a crazy few days.  When things are wild, I have to create something.  I always tell my husband, it's cheaper than therapy - he he.

$29.50 WOW! So pretty ~Enjoy Today's Steal from DECOR STEALS

I did order this lovely from Decor Steals.  I am a DS junkie.  While cleaning and putting my kitchen back together after Christmas, I got all of my cake stands out to see if I could do a grouping.  That's when I wanted another vintage looking one.

I bought this metal ribbon from Hobby Lobby a while back and never new what to do with it.

So, I measured and cut it.

Got my supplies (glue gun) together, and,

started gluing.  I looked online and found several glues that will work with metal and glass, but, mine was just for decoration, so, my glue gun was a great option.

I think it took my WalMart cake stand right over the top.  What do you think?  It almost makes me want to bake something.

Oh, and please stay tuned. My New Year's resolution was to get organized (and I mean it this time - fingers crossed).

xxxooo,
